When you create a custom hat, you’ll be working one on one with Damien, our hat maker. Through this process he will help you find your hat size, choose your base color, and help use the details you envision for your hat to create a final design you love. Whether you have specific details in mind or just a basic concept you need him to solidify, the process is different for every person, and Damien is there helping and communicating with you every step of the way.

All our hats are made using high quality fur felt bodies, made in the USA by a company that’s been operating for almost 100 years. This is the finest quality hat felt available, and is used in order to create a hat that will last multiple lifetimes. These are heirloom pieces.
Pricing begins at $500 for a basic hat. This includes leather sweatband, the shape and size you desire, and a simple hat band of leather, hemp, or grosgrain ribbon. Each hat is sent in a sturdy Haberdash Hatbox for storage and travel.
Design details and customizations change the price accordingly, with the majority of hats with multiple design elements (ranging from branding and distressing to flower bundles and hat pins) falling in the range of $520-600, with more complex and intricate designs closer to $650-700.
Once we’ve discussed your desired design, we will give you a final price. A non refundable deposit of $250 is due upon ordering, with the balance due upon completion.
Our current lead time for a custom hat is 5-8 weeks. Rush creation is an option, but with an extra fee to bump you to the front of the line.
